Title 24 Reports and Energy Analysis

Use a Certified Energy Plans Examiner for your Title 24 Report

As a builder you have a choice of who will do your Title 24 report. There are a lot of people doing them. But keep in mind a poorly executed Title 24 report can cost money, time, and rob the end user of the home of decades of energy efficiency and dollar savings. The California Association of Building Energy Consultants is authorized by the California Energy Commission to conduct training and certification for their professional designation of CEPE (Certified Energy Plans Examiner). Being a CEPE means that you understand the code and the latest information on building efficiency and Title 24 code.

cf-1r.pngCEPEs typically charge more than other Title 24 authors. Why? Because we do more. Modeling a home's efficiency is like a puzzle that you move around until all the pieces fit. And a solid Title 24 report will always make inspections a breeze. So when you consider the low cost of a CEPE ( typically 7 to 10 cents per square foot) it's money well spent.

We firmly believe that involving the home owner in the process of Title 24 is important. When it comes down to it, a CEPE has the best interests of the home owner in mind when it comes to energy efficiency. And the efficiency built into the home will have dollar exponential dollar values in the future.

In the Fresno area we have worked with many CEPEs and have found John Mayfield of Creative Home Concepts to be the most competent, reliable, and responsive. Click here for web page.
